Massage therapy involves the manipulation of soft body tissues through pressure, tension, motion or vibration in order to bring oxygen and other nutrients to the body tissues. This improves circulation, reduces stress and tension, and increases flexibility and mobility. One of the oldest forms of healthcare, massage can also help clear lactic acid and other waste that cause muscle and joint pain and stiffness from your system. • Stress
  • Migraine headaches
  • Sinus problems
  • Breathing disorders

HOT STONE MASSAGE

60 min. | $100
90 min. | $130

Hot stone massage is a variation on classic massage therapy in which smooth, heated, basalt stones are placed on key body points to warm and relax the muscles, improve circulation, and calm the nervous system.

The stones are first immersed in water and heated in an electric device until they reach the optimal temperature. They are then placed at carefully chosen points on the back, hands, and between the toes. The heat relaxes the muscles, allowing the therapist to apply deep pressure if desired. The massage therapist may also use the stones to gently massage the body.

This light form of massage is particularly suited to people suffering from muscle tension.
